The last column for awhile is up. Not that I wasn’t allowed to keep writing them, I just had a feeling that I wouldn’t have the bandwidth for the column.
It’s nice to be right occasionally. The last thing I have is bandwidth, but I could not be happier. Thanks to those of you lurking around the edges – it’s like singing in a concert with an audience full of strangers, and then noticing that the second row is full of your friends.
Good luck at Undead Labs, Sanya! I’ll miss your column over at MMORPG.com, but I’m sure you’ll pop up in other places (and hopefully still here every once in awhile). Writers write. =)
Definitely wish you good luck as well. I suspect you’ll get bandwidth back at some point for one reason or another. If only to see how many of us are still hanging out stalking you here.
I do find it funny though how many parallels there are between the specialized fields of computing though. Guess in the end projects are projects no matter where they are. They have similar issues. One thing I’ve learned over the years is how to detect and call a spade a spade. Important trait, and like common sense, not all that common.
Nice column, as always
You hit in the nail in so many aspects.
I will have to lurk more in your new grounds
Glad that you’re doing something you love and getting paid for it. Sad that MMORPG has lost such a fine and insightful writer. I, like the rest, will continue to follow you as always. (not in the creepy stalker way either)
I wish you the absolute best, Sanya! I likely won’t be getting into Undead Labs’ game, because A) I despise zombies, and B) I don’t own nor am interested in owning a console. Still, you mentioned ‘sandbox’ and that perked me right up, so… who knows what the future might hold?
Hopefully you can post bits and snippets here, as bandwidth allows!
Belated… But I get it, having been through the same not too long ago. There’s only so much headspace to go around and in the last couple of years, the only thing that’s shrunk about me is that.
I’ll miss your posts though.
Sanya, my lovely Tithus, can I speak to you directly? You should have my email addy… if not –> synner@live.com
